Professor Dr. Júlio Monteiro Teixeira
Connection between Design, Digital Experience, and Artificial Intelligence
Designer and researcher, Júlio Monteiro Teixeira centers his work agenda on investigating the role of Design in mediating experiences within data-driven digital environments and Artificial Intelligence. His professional practice combines UX/CX, digital innovation, and the creative use of data.
He is currently an Associate Professor at the Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC), where he works in the Design program and serves as deputy coordinator of the graduate programs in Design and in Engineering, Knowledge Management and Media. As leader of Lemme Lab, he coordinates applied research in generative artificial intelligence, user experience, and innovation.
His academic and research trajectory includes a doctorate with a sandwich period at the University of Wuppertal (Germany) and a postdoctoral fellowship at the School of Industrial Design of the Academy of Art University (USA, 2023). Building on these experiences, he maintains active international collaboration with institutions in the United States, Germany (Hochschule RheinMain), and Turkey (Yaşar University), engaging in projects, publications, and global hackathons.

Professor Dr. Israel de Alcântara Braglia
Reference in Editorial Design, Content, and Digital Education
Writer and designer, Israel Braglia centers his work and research on the development of instructional design, distance education, interfaces, and content design. His experience spans the practical stages of editorial production, from layout and pagination to graphic production and printing processes.
He is currently a full professor at the Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC) and teaches in the Design and Product Design programs in the Department of Design and Graphic Expression. Within the research ecosystem, he acts as founder and coordinator of Lemme Lab, and also participates in Hiperlab.
His interdisciplinary training includes a doctorate in Engineering, Knowledge Management and Media and a master’s degree in Design, both from UFSC; he also holds a bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design from UDESC and in Theology from FATEFI. He is currently undertaking postdoctoral research at the Southern Brazilian Theological Faculty (FTSA), focusing on the investigation and development of infoproducts for professional master’s programs.

Adilson Luiz Pinto
Professor Collaborator | Bibliometrics and Data Visualization
A researcher specialized in Information Science, Adilson Luiz Pinto works at Lemme Lab as a collaborating professor in automated data mining (E-Science) and analytical visualization. He is a Full Professor at UFSC, teaches in the Department of Information Science, and works in the graduate program in Design.
His international background includes positions as a visiting professor at institutions in Spain (Universidad Carlos III de Madrid), France (Université Montpellier III), Uruguay, Argentina, and Panama. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Library Science from PUC-Campinas, a doctorate in Documentation from the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, and postdoctoral fellowships completed in France (IRSIC, 2017) and Spain (UC3M, 2023).
