Lemme: The Convergence of Design, Media, and Knowledge
Lemme – Digital Innovation is the Design, Media, and Knowledge Laboratory of the Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC). Its institutional standing is consolidated through the integration of two pillars of the university: the Graduate Program in Design (Pós-Design) and the Graduate Program in Engineering and Knowledge Management (PPGEGC), with a focus on the Media and Knowledge area.
We emerged from the need to understand the transformations occurring in the digital environment. At LEMME, we believe that technology fulfills its purpose when combined with strategic design and intelligent information management. We are a space of active investigation, where faculty members, doctoral students, master’s students, and researchers dedicate themselves to translating the complexity of contemporary phenomena into solutions with impact on both academia and society.
Our identity is defined by interdisciplinarity. We act as a hub of convergence dedicated to critically analyzing digital transformations in order to build new pathways in design, communication, and technology. LEMME reaffirms its commitment to scientific excellence, remaining connected to global trends and to the demands of an ever-evolving reality.
